The Flash: The Ninth and Final Season and The Flash: The Complete Series are both coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 29. Extras for the Season 9 set have also been revealed, as has box art for both. The Complete Series box art is a bit odd: While it’s truth in advertising for the final seasons to have Cecile front and center, the lack of Carlos Valdes (Cisco) or Tom Cavanagh (as any Wells) is.. a choice.

I’m not surprised that this episode did that well especially since GRODD has returned. Overall I didn’t find the episode as great as I thought it would be. The story I thought was alright but for some reason this episode didn’t quite do it for me. I actually thought the second part was moderately better than the first. The GRODD scenes were the best parts and some of the talk between Iris and Barry with him as the flash and on secrecy. And even though “Wells” used GRODD as a sort of diversion to complete his plan team flash still wouldn’t have been able to find him just yet as not even we the viewers really know where he is right now. It was great to finally see GRODD in action but I feel the rest of the story could have been better.

I am actually not surprised by how good the ratings are especially since GRODD is in the title and he was finally one of the main focuses. But for me this episode didn’t really do it for me. The GRODD scenes were honestly the best parts. That and some of the heart to heart talking with Iris and Barry as the flash and secrecy. The story itself was fine but didn’t really do it for me. The second part was actually moderately more better than the first. And even though “Wells” used GRODD” to distract team flash they still wouldn’t be able to find where he is now, because not really even we the viewers really know where he is. Even though it was great to finally see the giant gorilla in action the story I think could have been better. Hopefully when GRODD does come back the story we will better and there will be more of a battle with him.
