During multiple moments including a conversation with her mother Iris (Candice Patton), Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) used the word “shway” — a word that is often believed to have had DC Comics influences. You see, it’s the series Batman Beyond that put “shway” into the lexicon — a way people say something is “cool” in the future DC Universe. As Nora is from that future, it’s not surprising that she would say it.
