While it had been known that Grant Gustin had already renewed his contract for The Flash Season 8, the fates of some of his co-stars were unknown, especially after the departures of Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh from the ensemble.

Now, fans of Iris West-Allen, Caitlin Snow, and Joe West can have a sigh of relief, as all three actors – Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, and Jesse L. Martin – have closed new deal to appear in The Flash Season 8, according to Deadline. We are assuming that later additions who joined the show later will be continuing with it.

Deadline notes that it has not yet been confirmed or said if The Flash Season 8 will be the series’ last. What do you all think? Leave some comments below.

I’ve enjoyed the flash journey. It seems I might be leaving the show to those younger than myself as the Metas and core team are younger and more Teen Titan-ish. There may not be any real life beef between Iris and Barry but no matter how the writing is there definitely is no on air chemistry between the Metas the flash or the younger characters. Joe,Cecil are holding it down as Parental/Mature complicated figures but Frost and “what’s his name…chester” could definitely step the drama conflict management and “fun” up a notch.

Who is going to replace Wells who’s the next “Love to hate character” so far Deon and Psych were good but they left… Nora’s acting was great she had passion and butted heads with Barry who’s doing that next? and how will the team accept their differences and make it work? Maybe Iris needs to communicate more.. let us know what’s going on with her doesn’t she want to get girlfriends in her age group she use to dress with a flair but now it looks like she shops at “stein-mart”. Cecil looks sexier than Iris that’s not right is it? there are consistent elements that are missing that weren’t before… previously Barry would communicate directly to the viewers to let us know what his life take aways were, what the show was emphasizing, lately the show seems one dimensional with alot of “cartoon ish” effects.
Lastly, even though the actors change their characters shouldn’t have to. there’s plenty of people out there who can connect with viewers so contracts should be a non issue. If the writing is good and the actors breathe life to it, the viewers will respond. The Wells, the arrows, Iris & Chester should stop limiting themselves on camera they seem shyer than they really are. Barry, he’s going with the plot but where are his new challenges why isn’t he visiting new Earth’s to learn and bring info back… where’s Caitlin’s saavy? there’s so many ways to explore that character. Genius of Cisco, confident candid frost, challenging and deep nature of wells, …I use to use the flash to enter a world that sparked curiosity…now I’d rather watch reruns on Netflix or get this…work out!
I miss the “real flash” if the directors and writers don’t,”feel it” then let the viewers know “it’s under construction” and if you’re trying to end it then just let the show not air, and please bring Caitlin’s hubby back she deserves companionship especially if she’s going to take on a more “serious-leadership” role.
Lastly, I appreciate the flash team, I’ve grown with them I appreciate the show and network yet I had to let you know the changes are quite clear.

Flash References In New Grant Gustin Commercial

The Flash actor Grant Gustin has appeared in a new commercial for MNTN with former Green Lantern Ryan Reynolds.

Published

on

The Flash Grant Gustin is in a new trailer for MNTN alongside Ryan Reynolds, who, of course, played another DC hero, Green Lantern, back in the day. In the trailer, Grant plays a character named “Seymour Roas” but despite this, Reynolds can’t resist making a few Flash puns at Grant’s expense.

The commercial is quite fun and ends with the thoughts many of us have had, with Reynolds saying to Grant “you’ll always be my Barry,” only to have Grant respond with “you’ll always be my Hal.” If only we had gotten to see this team-up in an actual film; maybe it would have redeemed the awful Green Lantern movie and given us a Flash we all love rather than the person who headlined this year’s flop.

You can see the trailer below.

No, That Was Not Teddy Sears In The Flash Movie

Flash TV series actor Teddy Sears confirms that was not him playing Jay Garrick in The Flash movie.

SPOILER WARNING: The Warner Bros. Pictures film The Flash is being discussed in this post.

The Flash is currently speeding onto movie screens, and considering the box office, it might be speeding out of theaters just as fast, but there is one particular thing that fans of The Flash TV series have been wondering: Did we see a cameo of Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick in The Flash movie?

The answer is: No. TVLine did their due diligence in finding out from Sears himself what is going on.

“People kept telling me that I was in the new Flash movie…,” Sears told TVLine in an article posted on their website. “I mean, I’m sleep-deprived with a newborn at home, so my memory is a little foggy. But I’m pretty sure I would have remembered shooting a major DC Studios film.”

“Sadly, I’m not in this,” he continued. He did acknowledge that the likeness does look like him.

There are some other cameos – sadly, not Grant Gustin or John Wesley Shipp, either. The movie is currently playing in theaters worldwide. As for Teddy Sears? Look for him in the DC Animated feature Justice League: Warworld where he will voice Travis Morgan, a.k.a. The Warlord. That comes out in July.
