Stars from the 1990 Flash series collide as Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) fights The Trickster (Mark Hamill) on Earth-3! Well, more specifically, Hamill’s character is listed as his alter ego of “James Jesse” who looks a bit more like The Joker, the character that Hamill famously voiced in Batman: The Animated Series. Still, maybe Jesse doesn’t use the Trickster name on Earth-3.
It all happens in the December 6 episode of The Flash titled “The Present.” It happens to be my birthday and that’s quite a present! Here’s a gallery of photos newly released by the network:

BARRY SEEKS HELP FROM JAY GARRICK — With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco (Carlos Valdes) faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing and teleplay by Lauren Certo (#309). Original airdate 12/6/2016.

The final episode of The Flash is almost here! The series finale airs this Wednesday, May 24 and The CW has released some photos to promote it. Several of these were previously posted as exclusives at EW.com but are now seeing a wide release, and these don’t have any watermarks. Beware of some spoilers for “A New World Part Four” within, and hopefully more pictures are coming! THE EXTRAORDINARY; JESSICA PARKER KENNEDY AND RICK COSNETT GUEST STAR – Team Flash works together to figure out how to protect Barry (Grant Gustin), all while being very careful who they trust. Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) is skeptical of the plan after an unsuccessful attempt. Khione’s (Danielle Panabaker) confidence in Chester (Brandon McKnight) enables him to convince Cecile to try one more time. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler and & Sarah Tarkoff (#912). Original airdate 5/17/2023.
