Flash Looks To Law & Order For Iris West’s Dad

Jesse L. Martin will be starring in The CW’s Flash pilot as Detective West.

jesse-l-martin_lThe role of Detective West, the father of Iris who also raised Barry Allen after what happened with his parents, has been cast.

THR has revealed that Jesse L. Martin of Law & Order fame has landed the role.

Detective West is described as “an honest, blue-collar cop who is a surrogate father to Barry. A soulful, funny and caring father to Iris — Barry’s potential love interest — West came up through the foster care system and took Barry in after his mother’s slaying and father’s imprisonment. He believes in Barry and supports his efforts to prove his father’s innocence.”

Hopefully some Iris news is coming next, right?

If they are filming soon, Iris should be cast. Plus, I wanna see the Flash suit.

I never watched law and order. But he seems to be a solid pick for mr. West. Still don’t know how I ffeel on race changing the west family. More so in case of wally, or if we ever got to see barry/iris future kids. But I wait to judge better once we got footage/episodes to see.

It does say that detective west grew up in foster care so Rupert(I think that was wally’ fathers name) can still be his adopted white brother, not that I really mind.

This is awesome news. With Jesse L Martin on board, I think the perfect Iris West would be Gina Jones. She is an up and coming actress/model from London in the UK.

Spotted on Set: Jordan Fisher as Impulse for Flash Episode 150

Jordan Fisher has been spotted on set wearing his Impulse costume for The Flash Episode 150.

Surprisingly, The CW didn’t release an official photo ahead of some outdoor filming for The Flash Episode 150… which means that photographers up in Vancouver were the ones to deliver our first look at Jordan Fisher in costume as Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse.

As you can see, the costume is very true to the one from the comics, first introduced in a story drawn by artist Mike Wieringo and written by Mark Waid.

Stay tuned for when we’ll likely get an official one from the network and the studio within a few days… but if you just can’t wait… swing by Canadagraphs’ Patreon for your first peeks! Below, have a look at what Bart Allen’s costume looks like in the pages of DC Comics.
