Jordan Fisher is joining the cast of The Flash in a recurring role starting in Episode 150 (which appears to be Episode 17 of Flash Season 7)… and he’s playing the iconic Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse.
There’s a catch, though… while in the comics, Bart is the grandson of Barry and Iris, here, he’s their… son. Here’s the description:
Bart is the future son of Barry aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) and is said to be “the fastest teenager on the planet.” However, due to his penchant for “wildly impulsive behavior,” Barry and Iris will have their hands full trying to teach him patience — which will be a necessity if they want to succeed, not only as a family unit, but also in stopping the biggest threat to the Flash yet.
Fisher is a multi-talented singer, actor, dancer whose credits have included theatre (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton), TV (Teen Wolf, The Secret Life of the American Teenager), live TV productions (Grease Live, Rent Live), and even provided his voice to animated series such as She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
The character of Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse first made his appearance in Flash comics way back in 1994 and he had his own comic book series which lasted several years. Kyle Gallner played Bart on Smallville.
Assuming his first appearance really is in episode #7.17, we’ll see Bart speed onto the show later this year.
