Smallville’s “Bart Allen” Kyle Gallner Congratulates Jordan Fisher

Kyle Gallner, who played Bart Allen aka Impulse on Smallville, has congratulated Jordan Fisher on landing the iconic role.

Published

Kyle Gallner, who was the first actor to play Bart Allen in live action on several episodes of Smallville, has congratulated Jordan Fisher who will be playing Bart in future episodes of The Flash.

“Playing Bart on Smallville was one of the first big jobs I booked when I moved to California. It was an honor to suit up and play. I loved every second of it. Congrats to Jordan Fisher – I hope you love playing Bart as much as I did,” Gallner tweeted tonight, along with several lightning bolts and #TheFlash hashtag.

Getting the role at age 17, Kyle’s Bart Allen was the first “guest hero” to appear on Smallville in its ten season and he was even part of the iconic “Justice” episode of the series. He is still a very active actor and will soon be seen in the upcoming Scream sequel. Now, hopefully at some point he can appear on The Flash before all is said and done, as well?

You can read more about how Bart Allen will fit in to The Flash Season 7 here.

Jordan Fisher Joins The Flash As Bart Allen

Jordan Fisher will be speeding on to The Flash as Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse.

Published

Jordan Fisher is joining the cast of The Flash in a recurring role starting in Episode 150 (which appears to be Episode 17 of Flash Season 7)… and he’s playing the iconic Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse.

There’s a catch, though… while in the comics, Bart is the grandson of Barry and Iris, here, he’s their… son. Here’s the description:

Bart is the future son of Barry aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) and is said to be “the fastest teenager on the planet.” However, due to his penchant for “wildly impulsive behavior,” Barry and Iris will have their hands full trying to teach him patience — which will be a necessity if they want to succeed, not only as a family unit, but also in stopping the biggest threat to the Flash yet.

Fisher is a multi-talented singer, actor, dancer whose credits have included theatre (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton), TV (Teen Wolf, The Secret Life of the American Teenager), live TV productions (Grease Live, Rent Live), and even provided his voice to animated series such as She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

The character of Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse first made his appearance in Flash comics way back in 1994 and he had his own comic book series which lasted several years. Kyle Gallner played Bart on Smallville.

Assuming his first appearance really is in episode #7.17, we’ll see Bart speed onto the show later this year.
